The Alice Nine released their anticipated new single on August 25. The title of the song is Senko (Flash), a hard rock that matches the title image. They have several heavy songs in their repertoire, but this time the song has an unusual weight. We spoke with five members on this new challenge and on their tour, which began in July.
Now you can talk about their new single, Senko... finally! (Laughs) You must have had much time for production.
Shou: We did two new songs for singles, and was to have made these songs that we could make songs for this single.
This type of hard rock element is unusual for Alice Nine.
Torah: Did you feel it?
Saga: I think if we had these elements in our music all the time, you do not feel it, that's wild to think that there is a reason behind it all. (Laughs)
Actually, I heard it was a tie-in.
Saga: Yes, we are honored to have been asking us to do that. It was difficult to find a balance between what we wanted to do as a band and asked us to do that.
It seems that you can not talk about the details of the tie-in, but I imagine he has a hard rock image, right?
Saga: I never thought I would do the title song, anyway. (Laughs)
Well, you should open up more, let the creativity flow.
Saga: Oh, I'm open ... (laughs) I have images in my head, but had never done a song before. Moreover, they had a very clear picture, so it was sometimes difficult, yet fun. I was pleased in the end. I think I got something, too.
The picture is different for different people as well. We may be thinking the same thing, but the image can be completely different.
Saga: I also thought of that!
Tora likes metal, no? Have you asked his opinion?
Saga: No. His opinion was considered in the song Le Grand Bleu. In fact, Senko became the title track at the last minute. Senko and Le Grand Bleu competed by post title track, then we think about it much.
